Julian Casablancas’ Voidz Share New Song “Alien Crime Lord”

The Voidz have shared a new song called “Alien Crime Lord.” It features on K.U.L.T. 99.1 Vespucci Beach, “Low Power Beach Radio,” Julian Casablancas’ radio station in the latest edition of Grand Theft Auto Online. Listen to “Alien Crime Lord” below.

In a press release, the Voidz discussed the inspiration for their new song:

We wanted to make a song that sounded like Jean Claude Van Damme standing up on a speeding motorcycle while firing perfect bullets through the windshield of an oncoming nemesis, then finishing the job with a controlled flip over the top of the vehicle that ends in a maelstrom of denim and flames.

Casablancas’ GTA Online radio station will include appearances from Mac DeMarco and David Cross. The game’s other new Music Locker feature is an “underground nightclub and social space” that will feature DJ spots from Palms Trax, Moodymann, and Keinemusik.

Since releasing their second album Virtue in 2018, the Voidz have worked with DeMarco on the tracks “Did My Best” and “The Eternal Tao.”
